Terms & Conditions of Service

 

At The Dawn Practice, we want you to feel confident and informed when using our services. Below is a summary of our key terms, written in straightforward language. If you’d like to see the full legal version, please contact us directly.

 

 

  1. Who’s Who

 

The Dawn Practice (“we/us”) – the provider of services.

 

Client – the person receiving our services.

 

Payor – the person or organisation paying for services (this may be the Client, a parent/guardian, or another party).

 

Appointer – the person or organisation arranging the service (may also be the Client or Payor).

 

Clinician – a qualified professional (employed by or working with us) who provides the service.

 

Services – includes psychological assessments, therapy, consultancy, training, supervision, and related professional activities.

 

 

Fees – the cost of the services provided.

 

 

  1. Fees

 

Fees are agreed with the person or organisation arranging the service.

 

If no written agreement is in place, the Appointer becomes responsible for payment.

 

Fees are reviewed annually (usually at the beginning of the calendar year).

 

 

  1. Payment

 

Invoices for first appointment and assessments are invoiced in advance of the appointment 

 

All other appointments are normally issued monthly in arrears, though in some cases payment may be required in advance.

 

Payment is due within 4 days of the invoice date and late payments may incur interest at 8% per year.

 

All payment queries must go through our administrative team – not through your clinician.

 

 

  1. Cancellations, Non-Attendance & Lateness

 

If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or do not attend, the full fee will be charged.

 

If you arrive late, the session will still end at the original time and the full fee applies.

 

For teaching or training, cancellations made within 10 working days will also be charged in full.

 

 

  1. Provision of Services

 

Services may be provided by our directors, employed staff, or associate clinicians.

 

We may, when necessary, offer a substitute clinician to ensure continuity of care.

 

 

  1. Complaints

 

We take complaints seriously. Please submit any concerns via the procedure outlined on our website.While we select our associates carefully, we are not legally responsible for their professional conduct.

 

 

  1. Effectiveness of Services

 

Our clinicians use recognised, evidence-based methods and follow good clinical practice. However, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Refunds are not offered if treatment does not achieve the desired results.

 

 

  1. Data Protection

 

Your data is handled in line with the UK GDPR (2016/679).

  1. Confidentiality

 

Your information is kept private unless:

 

You give us permission to share it,

We are legally required to disclose it,

The information is already in the public domain,

There are concerns for your safety or the safety of others,

  1. Terms of Business

 

These terms apply even if you have not signed them, unless you cancel your instructions in writing. By booking and/or attending an appointment with The Dawn Practice, you are confirming that you understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
