Bio

 
Vicki is an Associate Speech & Language Therapist at The Dawn Practice and is registered with both the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and the HCPC. She has over 20 years of NHS experience, specialising in the assessment and support of children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication needs.

 

Vicki has particular expertise in working with children with neurodevelopmental differences, especially autism, as well as those with developmental language disorder and speech sound difficulties. She has spent most of her career working as part of multidisciplinary teams, carrying out neurodevelopmental assessments and providing holistic, tailored interventions.

 

She is also highly experienced in working closely with families, helping parents to better understand and support their child’s communication needs. Vicki is trained in delivering Hanen parent programmes (such as It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, and TalkAbility), and also uses approaches such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). In addition, she delivers training to education staff, health professionals, and undergraduate students in Speech and Language Therapy.
