Bio

 
Nicola is an Associate Psychologist at The Dawn Practice and is both Chartered and HCPC registered as a Forensic Psychologist. She has extensive experience working with adults, from psychological assessment through to therapy and longer-term support.

 

Her therapeutic expertise includes EMDR, CBT-based approaches, and Schema Therapy. Nicola supports clients with a range of difficulties such as trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, substance misuse, personality difficulties, and challenges with emotional regulation or relationships. She works collaboratively with clients to set realistic treatment goals, break unhelpful thinking habits, manage emotions, and develop effective coping strategies.

 

Alongside her private practice, Nicola also works as a Chartered Forensic Psychologist with individuals who have offended. This includes psychological risk assessments, personality assessments, and delivering rehabilitative interventions, particularly in the area of violence. She also provides professional supervision for colleagues and Forensic Psychologists in training.
