Bio

 
Lorna Harrison is an Associate Psychologist at The Dawn Practice and a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. She brings over 20 years of experience working with adults and young people across a wide range of settings, including the Fire & Rescue Service, Police, MOD, Civil Service, finance, law, media, publishing, sport, and higher education.

 

Lorna specialises in diagnostic assessments for dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia, and has a wider interest in neurodiversity including ADHD and autism. She provides clear, compassionate, and strengths-based assessments, helping individuals gain clarity about their needs while offering practical recommendations to support success in education, training, or the workplace.

 

Alongside her assessment work, Lorna is an ILM Level 7 accredited coach. She supports adults in occupational contexts to identify strengths, develop strategies, and overcome professional challenges. Her strengths-based coaching style helps clients build confidence and find positive ways forward.

 

Before moving into private practice, Lorna worked for over 15 years in the Fire & Rescue Service, where she provided psychological expertise in areas such as assessment, talent management, neurodiversity, organisational culture, and staff wellbeing. She left in 2019 to focus her career on independent practice, specialising in neurodiversity.
