Bio

 
Dr. Marie-Claire Whyte is an Associate Psychologist at The Dawn Practice and is registered with the HCPC. She has over 15 years of post-qualification experience in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) within NHS Scotland, working across both CAMHS and acute paediatric settings, as well as independent practice.

 

Marie-Claire takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach, creating a safe and reflective space where children, young people, and families can explore difficulties and build tools for the future. She works with a wide range of presentations including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem difficulties, and trauma responses.

 

She draws on evidence-based therapies such as CBT, trauma-focused CBT, ACT, and EMDR, and has particular expertise in supporting children and young people with chronic or acute physical health conditions, alongside neuropsychological assessment.
