Bio

 
Dr. Lesley Allan is an Associate Clinician at The Dawn Practice and a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. She also leads Clinical Health Psychology services in NHS Ayrshire & Arran, bringing extensive experience from across the NHS in both mental health and physical health settings.

 

Lesley works with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, grief, loss, and sleep problems. She has particular expertise in supporting people coping with the psychological impact of physical health conditions—such as disability, pain, or changes in appearance or functioning—and in helping individuals adjust to long-term medical conditions or acute health events.

 

She takes an integrative, person-centred approach, drawing on therapies such as CBT, ACT, CFT, and EMDR, and is known for her warm and compassionate therapeutic style.
