Bio

 
Dr. Karen Ann Gray is an Associate Counselling Psychologist at The Dawn Practice and is HCPC registered. She is also a member of the British Psychological Society (095340) and BABCP accredited. With nearly 20 years of experience across the NHS, private, and third sectors, she works with both adults and young people, offering assessment and therapy for a wide range of mental health difficulties.

 

Karen has particular expertise in supporting people with complex trauma, adverse childhood experiences, attachment difficulties, and neurodiversity. She is highly experienced in undertaking psychological assessments, risk assessments, and therapeutic formulations, working collaboratively with clients to identify meaningful goals at a pace that supports safety and recovery.

 

She draws on a broad range of therapeutic models including EMDR (fully trained to advanced level), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, CBT, and DBT-informed approaches. Karen is committed to offering integrative, compassionate care tailored to each client’s needs. Alongside therapy, she supervises CBT therapists and psychologists and has significant experience in service leadership within the NHS.
