Bio

 
Dr. Claire Stark is an Associate Clinical Psychologist at The Dawn Practice and is HCPC registered (PYL34373). She has over 18 years of NHS experience across adult, addiction, forensic, and older adult services, and continues to combine her NHS work with her private practice role.

 

Claire provides assessment and therapy for a wide range of adult mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, OCD, stress, low self-esteem, and phobias. She has particular expertise in working with trauma, addictions, and the impact of childhood experiences on adult relationships and emotional wellbeing. She is also experienced in supporting clients with complex presentations, including dissociative conditions.

 

Claire’s therapeutic approach is empathic, collaborative, and tailored to individual needs. She is trained in a broad range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy. She is also completing additional training in Clinical Neuropsychology, enhancing her skills in understanding and assessing cognitive and neuropsychological aspects of functioning.
