Bio

 
Dr. McGrath is an Associate Consultant Psychiatrist at The Dawn Practice, specialising in child and adolescent mental health. She has worked in the NHS since qualifying in 1985, initially training in General Practice before retraining in psychiatry and focusing on children and young people from 1995 onwards. She has held an NHS Consultant role in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2004.

 

She has extensive experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties in children and young people. Since 2019, her work has focused on the assessment, treatment, and ongoing medical management of ADHD. Dr. McGrath is also skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic (Family) Therapy, enabling her to take a holistic approach when supporting young people and their families.
