Bio

 
Claire Lyons is an Associate Speech & Language Therapist and Neurodevelopmental Practitioner at The Dawn Practice and is registered with both the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and the HCPC. She has over 20 years of experience across the NHS and independent practice, specialising in neurodevelopmental difficulties.

 

Claire works with children, young people, and adults, providing assessment and therapy for a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs, including autism, social communication difficulties, language delay, and speech sound disorders. She is particularly passionate about supporting children and families to better understand and manage communication challenges.

 

She is trained in the use of evidence-based assessment and intervention tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Claire regularly undertakes further training and supervision to ensure her practice remains current and effective.

 

For the past 15 years, she has specialised in leading neurodevelopmental assessments and supporting individuals with autism and their families. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
