Bio

Alana is an Associate Clinician at The Dawn Practice, accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and registered as a Dietitian with the HCPC. She specialises in the intersection of mental health, eating difficulties, and neurodevelopmental differences, bringing expertise from both psychological therapy and dietetics.

She provides assessment and therapy for a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and perinatal mental health concerns. Alana’s particular specialism is in eating disorders, where she has extensive training and experience working with both adults and young people.

Alongside her private practice, Alana works within the NHS as an Advanced Specialist Dietitian and has spent over eight years in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in dual roles as a dietitian and psychological therapist. She also has experience in the third sector, delivering CBT and training, including the COSCA Counselling Skills course.

Her therapeutic approach integrates CBT and Compassion-Focused Therapy with evidence-based dietetic practice, supporting clients holistically to improve both their mental health and physical wellbeing.
